The GATE – Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2018) is all India level entrance examination organized by Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. IIT GATE is organize for admissions into M.Tech/M.E and Ph.D courses at the GFTIs, NITs and IITs and also other institutes/universities across the Country. The GATE entrance examination will be conducted on February at different examination centres all over the India. Some PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) will also recruit based on the GATE exam scores. Moreover, GATE exam is organized for 23 GATE papers. GATE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidates should have completed the B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharm/B.Sc Research/ B.S/MA/ M.Sc/MCA or its equivalent/Integrated M.E/M.Tech (Post B.Sc)/Int. ME/M.Tech or dual degree/Int. BS-MS/Int. M.Sc can apply for the GATE entrance test.
  • Final year candidates can also apply for the GATE .
  • There is no age limit for the exam.

IIT GATE 2018 Application Form

  • The GATE registration will starts from 1st September 2017 at GATE official site.
  • Interested candidates have to visit GATE official website and fill the GATE online application form through GOAPS.
  • In online application form of GATE, candidates can fill the basic details, education details and also upload the images.
  • The last date for submission of GATE application form is 5th October 2017.

GATE 2018 Exam Centres

IIT GATE 2018 Exam Pattern

GATE is online computer based exam. The GATE online test will be of total 3 hours and will comprise of total 65 questions, MCQ and also NAT (Numerical Answer Type).

  • Total no. of Questions: – 65 questions
  • Marks: 100
  • Duration of Exam: 3 hours

GATE 2018 Syllabus

IIT GATE 2018 Admit Card

The exam organizing institute will release GATE admit card on 5th January 2018. Only those who have successfully submitted the application form of GATE can download their admit card for GATE .  Also, Candidates can download admit card of GATE using GATE enrollment no or email id & password. Moreover, the GATE hall ticket is very vital for all candidates appearing in exam.

GATE 2018 Answer Key

IIT Guwahati will also publish GATE answer key for all 23 papers after completion of entrance test. Candidates who appeared for examination can check the answer key of GATE in online mode. Also, various top coaching institutes like Made Easy, GATE Academy, etc will display the unofficial answer key for GATE exam after the exam. The GATE exam answer key will provide the correct responses of all the questions asked in entrance examination.

GATE 2018 Result

After display of GATE official answer keys, the IIT will declare GATE result on 17th March 2018. Candidates are required to login using enrolment number and password to check their GATE exam results. Moreover, result of GATE contain the GATE rank and score. Exam organizing institutes will also prepare GATE merit list or GATE rank list on the basis of scores obtained by candidates in entrance exam.

GATE Score Card 2018

The exam organizing institute will also release GATE score card on 17th March 2017 along with GATE exam results. All qualified candidates can get the GATE rank card from official site of GATE. Moreover, score card of GATE is valid for 3 years from the date of declaration of GATE results.

PSUs Recruitment through GATE 2018 

Several PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) like IOCL, ONGC, BPCL, HPCL etc will publish their recruitment notification through GATE . Moreover, candidates will be selected on the basis of GATE scores as well as the GATE cut off scores decided by the individual PSUs.

IIT GATE cut off 2018

After declaration of GATE entrance exam result, GATE cutoff scores will announce in online mode. The cutoff of GATE consists of minimum qualifying scores obtained by candidates to get admissions at GFTIs, NITs and IITs and also other institutes/universities. Moreover, exam takers who score above or equal to GATE score will be qualified and selected for further admission process or PSUs recruitment. Also, GATE cut off for PSU is decided by the PSUs.
